sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mjblenner/ppa-hal
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hal
sudo mkdir /etc/hal/fdi/preprobe
sudo mkdir /etc/hal/fdi/information
/usr/sbin/hald –daemon=yes –verbose=yes

Now you should be able to use the latest Chrome browser.

For older versions of Ubuntu, you might be able to use Firefox using the following steps below:

Close Firefox browser

rm -rf ~/.adobe
